So, I’ve been wanting to blog about white kitchens….farmhouse style. I am so ridiculously obsessed with them! I am currently working on transforming my kitchen. It’s going to be a process as I try to not take time away from painting my wood signs for customers. However, it is now currently white. Three coats of primer and two coats of paint. (I think the primer was a problem. Not to say anything bad about Sherwin Williams but….DO NOT USE THEIR PRIMER!) I may have had a bad batch but… Now don’t get me wrong, I do love their paint!
My kitchen has been many colors. I use to love to paint…walls…now it seems I only love to paint my signs. Anyway, I think painting my kitchen was just a tedious task because my walls were black! I know, it sounds scary but it was beautiful! I had done a full wall stencil of scrolls in a slightly shimmery pearl color. Very subtle but when the light hit it it was very pretty.
When deciding to paint over it in white so many of my friends (husband and son included) said not to do it because they loved the black….but it was time for a change.
I don’t have any pictures yet of the transformation. I’m waiting for a bright sunny day…given the fact that I live in Ohio, well, it could take months for one of those days! YIKES! I still have to decorate it though….
There are so many inspirational photos out there to obtain the look of a white farmhouse kitchen so I wanted to share some of my favorites.

As white as it gets.
Ahh, I think we’re in France!
Pretty but I’d prefer a different table and chairs.
Love the shelving display.
